T&T Construction Management Group Secures Second Food Processing Project in Northeast Region
T&T Construction Management Group is honored to be awarded the Scout Cold Storage Logistics project in Lebanon, PA. This marks our second major food processing project in the Northeast region, following the 2021 completion of Bell & Evans located in Fredericksburg, PA. This intricate job featured many complex elements including a large area of sloped slab for drains, refrigeration rooms, mechanical rooms, and more. While Scout Cold will feature similar elements, it will also possess its own unique character, tailored to meet specific operational needs.
The original building on this 23-acre property was designed for future expansion, allowing us to leverage its existing infrastructure.
“This project is incredibly important to T&T,” says Northeast Regional Director and Project Manager for Scout Cold, Derek Preston. “It not only strengthens our footprint in the food processing sector but also underscores our commitment to building facilities that support local economies and meet the demand of an evolving industry.”
We are excited to further demonstrate our expertise in building USDA-compliant facilities, showcasing our ability to execute high-standard jobs in challenging environments. A food processing plant like this requires planning for a sanitation room, hygiene room, part washing, quality control lab and several other designated spaces- all critical for maintaining food safety.
As we contribute to Eastern Pennsylvania’s thriving food processing and distribution market, we recognize the significance of this region, home to 40 prominent food tenants including Walmart, Purdue Farms, and Kraft. We look forward to the positive impact Scout Cold will have on the local community and the industry as a whole.
