Our first responders deserve the best.
We are so proud to be able to help provide just that for the heroes of Orange County Fire Rescue by building a state-of-the-art training facility.
In partnership with Mulligan Constructors, KMF Architects & C4 Architecture
we are building an impressive training facility on 38 acres in East Orange County, Florida. This new space features:
- Education Building with seven classrooms for academic training
- Burn Building for controlled fire exercises
- CPAT Testing to ensure firefighters meet physical demands
- Collapse Building designed to simulate real-world disaster scenarios
- Two 5-story drill Towers for multi-story rescue training
- Two Pavilions for practical exercises and gatherings
“This project is one of the most architecturally featured jobs we have, it’s definitely different than a warehouse building. It’s a hard build, but our team is doing awesome, I am so proud of them.” – Caitlin Koetter, Project Manager.
This project involves meticulous coordination, particularly for the layout of the panels and the embeds. The tilt-up method is what achieved the swept walls look. Some of the thoughtful design details include-
- Slanted windows that match the same angle as the ladders that will lay against the building
- The structural collapse building mimics a real fallen structure from the way the walls appear to be crumbling, to the interior modeling difficult-to-access areas
- Mock trench rescue zone with over 10,000 SF panels
