Local Virginia-based food bank Feed More was looking for a solution to provide for the growing number of people without food in their community, and we knew we could help.

We teamed up with Hourigan Construction to build a state-of-the-art tilt-up building designed to support Feed More’s expanding operations and mission to combat hunger.

Serving 34 cities and counties in central Virginia, Feed More provides an impressive 35 million pounds of nutritious food to those in need. As a member of Feeding America, Meals on Wheels America, and The Federation of Virginia Food Banks, their impact is far-reaching.

This new facility is designed to support a wide range of needs including distribution, food preparation, volunteer training and more. To provide space for all this we laid 90,000 sq ft of slab on grade, 49,000 sq ft of tilt-up panels, and 26,000 sq ft of paving. We installed 8 dock pits for smooth food drop-off and deliveries.

Project Manager Brian Connoly notes, “What makes Project Feed More stand out is the heart behind it. Knowing that we played a part in providing food to families in need is a great feeling.” Brian played a key role in overseeing this project and ensuring all requirements, both small and big, were met.

Connoly adds, “This is one of those projects where you can see the direct impact of your work on the community, it’s projects like this that remind us why we do what we do.”

T&T Construction Management Group serves clients throughout the entire East Coast, and we are especially grateful to see the impact of our work in the Mid-East region since opening our office in Morrisville, NC in 2020.

We are proud to have played a part in creating a space that will support Feed More’s mission for years to come, helping to provide essential nourishment to those who need it most.
